The Lisboa Devils (9-0) will face the Algarve Sharks (6-4) in the Portuguese national championship game on Saturday, April 30th. The Devils come in as the heavy favorite, having won the previous 4 games against the Sharks in decisive fashion. This game – the country’s 7th national championship – will be the first time the Lisboa Navigators are not contending for the title. The Navigators won the first 6 national championships, so a new champion will reign in Portugal.
Futebol Americano published a preview of the game as well as an interview with Devils’ import quarterback Joey Bradley, who coincidentally is of Portuguese descent.
