The Growth of a Game will be hosting the biggest women’s American football camp in Europe on September 28th-29th, 2019 in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The 2019 European Women’s American Football Camp will be second edition of the event with the intent to improve the skill level of players from all over Europe. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Utrecht for the camp, a charming city just 25 minutes outside of Amsterdam. 250 players attended the 2018 women’s camp in Copenhagen, the event’s first edition.
The European Women’s American Football Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Spencer Wood, head coach for the Belgian National Team; Ryan Andersen, head coach for Copenhagen Tomahawks Women in Denmark; Pascal Matla, former head coach for the 010 Trojans in the Netherlands; Steve Sheppard, former special teams coordinator for the Dutch National Team; Ray Agaoglu, former head coach of the Dutch National Team; Christophe Olenaed, defensive backs coach for the Belgian national team; Jaycen Taylor, running backs coach for the Belgian National Team; Michel Storm, former defensive coordinator for the 010 Trojans in the Netherlands; Pauwel Depreitere, wide receivers coach for the Belgian national team; Richard Bouthoorn, former offensive coordinator for the Alphen Eagles in the Netherlands; Herman Eisinger, defensive line coach for the Schiefbahn Riders in Germany; Robbie Hiensch, former defensive backs coach for the Dutch National Team; Ido Bernadicas, former linebackers coach for the 010 Trojans in the Netherlands; Brandon Snell, running backs coach for the Utrecht Dominators in the Netherlands; Tim Haver Droeze, wide receiver for the Düsseldorf Panther in Germany; Imke Steinmöller, defensive coordinator for the Berlin Kobra Ladies in Germany; and Emma Svensson, former head coach for the Limhamn Griffins Women in Sweden.
The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work and coaches’ meetings. Players and coaches from as many as 15 countries will be present.
Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €49. Teams can register up to 20 players and coaches for €1,200 and an unlimited number of players and coaches for €1,500.
Camp practice jerseys will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players must bring their own equipment to participate. Players will wear full pads and helmets for all on-field training.
Sportpark Overvecht Noord is an outdoor facility, so please be sure to dress appropriately.
