The Growth of a Game will be hosting one of the premier American football camps in Europe on February 23rd-24th, 2019 in Vantaa, Finland.
The Vantaa Skills Camp, which will take place in the Helsinki region, will be the 1st installment of the event with the intent to improve the skill level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Vantaa for the camp, and upwards of 200 players are expected to be in attendance.
The Growth of a Game Vantaa Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Seppo Evwaraye, former offensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL and former head coach of the Wasa Royals in Finland; Tuomas Heikkinen, head coach of the Finnish National Team; Klaus Alinen, former tight end for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL and current head coach of the Pori Bears U19 team in Finland; Iiro Luoto, former tight end for the New York Jets of the NFL and multiyear offensive lineman for the Finnish National team; Ilari Nikku, defensive line coach for Chabot College and the Helsinki Roosters in Finland; Anssi Nevalainen, former player and team captain for Averett University and former assistant coach for the Helsinki Wolverines in Finland; Tuomas Leinonen, defensive coordinator for the Seinäjoki Crocodiles in Finland; Stephen Stokes, former head coach of Vantaa TAFT in Finland; Janne Lehtinen, quarterbacks coach for the Finnish U19 National Team and starting quarterback for the Finnish National Team; Ville Palikainen, former offensive coordinator of the Porvoo Butchers in Finland, Okko Outinen, defensive line coach for the East City Giants in Finland; Tuomas Mankki, former wide receiver for the Finnish National Team and current wide receiver coach for the Finnish U15 National Development Team; Marko Vartiainen, running backs coach for Finnish National Team and assistant coach for the United Newland Crusaders in Finland; Arttu Tennberg, multiyear offensive lineman for the Finnish National Team; Sampo Ranta, defensive coordinator for the Finnish U19 National Team; Santtu Äyräväinen, linebacker coach for the Finnish U15 and U19 National Teams. Coaching staff is subject to change.
The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work. Players and coaches from as many as 10 countries will be present.
Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €49. Teams can register up to 20 players and coaches for €1,200 and an unlimited number of players and coaches for €1,500.
A discounted accommodation package is available until February 1st for €149. For a limited time through December 31st, the accommodation package is available to all participants for €139. Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.

This is an indoor facility. Free parking will be available on-site.
Lunch will be available for purchase to all players and coaches on Saturday and Sunday for €12.00 per meal. Lunch is optional, however it must be paid no later than February 1st. Payment on the day of the camp will not be accepted.

Accommodation Package: €139.00 per person until December 31st. €149.00 per person afterward. This includes a bed in a 2 or 3-person room for Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast and lunch each day on Saturday and Sunday, and daily bus transportation to and from the field. This rate is only available until February 1st.
Additional info: Free breakfast and free wifi are included with the rate. Parking is free in the hotel yard area from Friday at 18:00 until Monday at 07:00. Free private bus transportation is provided to and from the field each day for all hotel guests. Hotel Haaga Central Park is the recommended accommodation for both coaches and players. The practice field is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Please note that check-out must be completed prior to practice on Sunday morning, so there will be no bus transportation back to the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Please secure your own transportation for Sunday afternoon.
