The Growth of a Game to host skills camp in Utrecht in September



The Growth of a Game will be hosting one of the premier American football camps in Europe from September 9th-10th, 2017 in Utrecht, Netherlands.

The camp, known as “The Growth of a Game Utrecht Skills Camp“, will be an annual camp with the intent to improve the skill level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Utrecht for the camp, and upwards of 100 players are expected to be in attendance.

In alignment with its primary mission, The Growth of a Game organizes a series of annual developmental camps across Europe in an effort to facilitate the development of American football.

The Growth of a Game Utrecht Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Spencer Wood, offensive coordinator for the Munich Cowboys in Germany; Mike Brown, defensive coordinator for the Gießen Golden Dragons in Germany; Andreas Brökers, head coach for the Aachen Vampires in Germany; Jean-Marc Bottin, defensive coordinator for the Belgian National Team; Sebastian Serrano, head coach for the Portuguese National Team; Winston Ronde; former head coach of the Amsterdam Crusaders; and Brett Morgan; head coach for the Firenze Guelfi in Italy.

The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work, film study, and a private coaching clinic. Players and coaches from as many as 10 countries will be present.

Hotel IBIS UTRECHT and STAYOKAY HOSTEL UTRECHT are the preferred accommodation options during the camp. Discount codes and information on reservations are available on the sign-up page.

Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €79.

Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.
