Split Skills Camp

The Growth of a Game, in partnership with the Croatian American Football Association, will be hosting one of the premier American football camps in Europe from August 4^th-5^th, 2018 in Split, Croatia.

In its 3rd year, Split Skills Camp is aimed at improving the level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Split for the camp, and upwards of 120 players are expected to be in attendance.

The Growth of a Game Split Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Matt Dias, defensive line coach for the Wroclaw Panthers in Poland; Greg Kleidon, head coach for the Sand Falcons in Norway; Alexander Durazo, head coach for the Åsane Seahawks in Norway; Timothy Speckman, sports director for the Hamburg Huskies in Germany;  Joe Sturdivant, head coach for the Saarland Hurricanes in Germany; Victor Andersen, defensive coordinator for the Copenhagen Towers in Denmark; and Sean Shelton, quarterback for the Swarco Raiders in Austria.

The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. The majority of camp attendees will be from Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia, however players from as many as 15 countries will be present. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work.

A special national team practice session will be organized for Croatian players and coaches on Sunday afternoon following the camp.

Player fees for the 2-day camp are €79, while coaches fees are €39.

Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.
