The Growth of a Game will be hosting its second annual American football camp in Cologne, Germany on March 23rd-24th, 2019.
The Cologne Skills Camp is an annual camp with the intent to improve the level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Cologne for the camp, and upwards of 200 players are expected to be in attendance.
The Growth of a Game Cologne Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Joe Sturdivant, head coach for the Saarland Hurricanes in Germany; Deejay Anderson, head coach for the Assindia Cardinals in Germany; Wojciech Andrzejczak, head coach for the Remscheid Amboss in Germany; Dennis Frerichs, head coach for the Oldenburg Outlaws in Germany; David Odenthal, offensive coordinator for the Cologne Crocodiles in Germany; Andreas Brökers, offensive line coach for the Belgian National Team; Timothy Speckman, sports director for the Hamburg Huskies in Germany; Bob Conroy, defensive line coach for the Saarland Hurricanes in Germany; Steve Sheppard, offensive coordinator for the Rotterdam Ravens in the Netherlands; Jörg Mackenthun, the former head coach and defensive coordinator for the Düsseldorf Panther in Germany; Elias Gniffke, offensive coordinator for the Marburg Mercenaries in Germany; and Brock Dale, quarterback for the Saarland Hurricanes in Germany.
The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work. Players from as many as 15 countries will be present.
Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €49. Teams can register up to 20 players for €1,200 and up to 35 players for €1,500. Coaches are included as part of the team registration but they do not count against the maximum.
A discounted accommodation package is available until March 1st for €149. For a limited time through February 1st, the accommodation package is available to all participants for €139. Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.

Lunch will be available for purchase to all players and coaches on Saturday and Sunday for €10.00 per meal. Lunch is optional, however it must be paid no later than March 1st. Payment on the day of the camp will not be accepted.

Accommodation Package: €139.00 per person until February 1st. €149.00 per person afterward. This includes a bed in a 2 or 3-person room for Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast and lunch each day on Saturday and Sunday, and daily bus transportation to and from the field. This rate is only available until March 1st.
Additional info: Free breakfast and free wifi are included with the rate. Free parking is available. Free private bus transportation is provided to and from the field each day for all hotel guests. H+ Hotel Solingen is the recommended accommodation for both coaches and players. The practice field is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Please note that check-out must be completed prior to practice on Sunday morning, so there will be no bus transportation back to the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Please secure your own transportation for Sunday afternoon.
