Lucerne Skills Camp

The Growth of a Game will be hosting its second American football camp in Switzerland on October 10th-11th, 2020.

The Lucerne Skills Camp is an annual camp with the intent to improve the skill level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Lucerne for the camp, and upwards of 150 players are expected to be in attendance.

The Growth of a Game Lucerne Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe including Don Clemons, former NFL assistant coach with the Detroit Lions from 1985-2011; Andrew Griffin, head coach for the Passau Pirates in Germany; Giorgio Volpi, defensive coordinator for the Swiss U19 National Team; Rick Benedetto, former assistant coach for the Swiss U19 National Team; JC Williams, wide receiver coach for the Swiss National Team; Daniel Barnes, running back for the Luzern Lions in Switzerland; Colin Barrier, defensive back for the Stuttgart Scorpions in Germany; Delmus Pinkston, former head coach of the Luzern Lions in Switzerland.

The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work. Players and coaches from as many as 10 countries will be present.

Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €49.

Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.
